Case 3: The Sinister, Sneaky, Solidly-Locked Chest of the Late Abernathy Jeminsk

The room drips with petrifaction, the twins gripping each other’s hands tightly and Beatrix hovering between her siblings, while Catyllia deigns to drop her sass and hold the picket line of suspense with her siblings.
“The child with the key to open this chest is my successor,” Anastasia quotes, voice low, her gaze sweeping over each Jeminsk child in turn. Thunder rumbles foreboding in the pause that follows.
Jolene kicks her. “Quit with the dramatics, darling.”
